INGREDIENTS
  

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon honey, or any other sweetent of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Pour 1 cup balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan and add honey (or brown sugar, maple syrup).
  • Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer stirring occasionally until reduced by half, about 20 minutes. It should easily coat the back of a spoon. Then remove from heat and allow to cool. Be patient, the sauce will thicken more as it cools.

NOTES

1 cup balsamic vinegar makes ½ cup of sauce in the end.
Pour into a glass bottle or mason jar and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for 3 months as long as it's tightly sealed in an airtight container and refrigerated. But it never stays so long in my house as we generally got through it fairly quickly!
