Why it's yummy
- Quick and easy - I like to keep things simple and this spinach dip is the fastest dip you can whip up in minutes.
- Creamy and flavorful - this dip can be made with fewer ingredients but flavor additions like onion and garlic powder, and Worcestershire just take this dip to the next level!
- Budget-friendly - made with minimal economical ingredients that are already in your kitchen, all you need to buy is cream cheese, yogurt or sour cream and fresh spinach. You can also use bottled lemon juice instead of fresh.
- It's the crowd favorite and the perfect appetizer! It's healthy, low carb, and a great addition to party snacks.
We love to serve this dip along with other party appetizers such as cheesy Jalapeno Poppers, Air Fryer Zucchini Skins, healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip and of course the classic buttery Million Dollar Deviled Eggs.

Tips
- Spinach - fresh is always best (I used baby spinach). Frozen will not work in the cold dip as it releases a lot of liquid and the flavor will be off. For best results make sure spinach is washed and dried completely, I like using a Salad Spinner for this.
- Yogurt - a good regular mayo or a low-fat mayonnaise can be used instead of yogurt but I prefer the plain and simple flavor that greek yogurt has.
- Storing instructions - Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended for dairy-based sauces due to loss of texture and separation.
- For a healthier creamy dip use low-fat yogurt and cream cheese. However, the end result will be a little different, and this delicious dip will be more ‘’runny’’. You can fix it by adding more spinach!
- Our most delicious way of serving this spinach dip is with chips of course but up next are these scrumptious Fried Salmon Patties.
FAQ
The best way to tell if spinach dip is gone bad is to smell it for any unusual smell and flavor. This dip should be kept refrigerated in a sealed airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Also if left outside for longer than 2 hours it should be thrown away as dairy products are not safe to consume after that unless it has been served over ice.
Creamy and dairy-based dips and sauces just don’t freeze well, and this spinach dip will not taste good after thawing as it will become watery, and grainy and some separation will occur.
Properly sealed in an airtight glass container, spinach dip will last for 3-4 days in the fridge. It may get too thick and to thin it out add a drizzle of milk.
Any food should always be consumed in moderation. Same goes for spinach which has a lot of fiber and overeating one specific food like this can cause bloating and nausea. Spinach is also among green veggies that contain the highest amount of oxalic acid.
Spinach has 2.9 grams of plant-based protein per serving of 100 grams. Spinach is in the top 5 plant-based proteins for vegetarians. The highest daily protein plants are considered lima beans, soybeans, green peas, and spinach.
Why is spinach good for you?
Spinach has a ton of nutrients that our bodies need. Eating a large handful of spinach is sure to fill your daily fiber intake. In addition to fiber, spinach has vitamin C and K, iron, potassium and folate.

So good! Love the flavors in this spinach dip. I added a cream cheese, sour cream and Hellmans combination and then added my seasonings. Can’t stop munching on it.
